Managing Change:
Before engaging with the change of having an automated software inducted to design, a proof of concept was taken up by creating a sample control system model of their application through which the methodology was articulated, hence conveying how effectively the design system could be taken up with a customized process, thus initiating them to know the depth of involvement of our support with their own process taken into account, thus helping them gain a thorough knowledge of the product before they could decide on adopting to use the new tool so that the design aspect could be worked out in a much better environment with ease.

The testing aspect was also engaged as they were very much concerned testing realtime software being used for critical missions because accuracy was the main concern, hence wanted them to be taken to confidence about the product and the support involved, thus we had our expertise presented to them taking into account their software and tested it using RTRT and the quality aspect turned to be impressive as they found it to have much more features and our handholding with all the aspects of testing accordingly was helped to be covered , the results were according to their standards with less load on the QA team and utmost accuracy.

A configuration management system was helped to be inducted having a centralized repository of their code, which was customized in accordance to their needs, so that any management in the development life could be easily handled.

Differences:
As the induction of a new software was to be done , the team had a very soaring concern about whether they could adapt to the change and if they would, how long they would take to get along without actually wasting their valuable time to learn and implement , but the handholding given to them at every point and making him understand his system better by created an executable model actually gave them more comfort and confidence to actually induct it and start using it within a few weeks. The customer was able to improve the quality of the software developed by them.

The customer is willing to implement Rational tool in a new projects starting from Requirement management, Analysis & design, testing and configuration management as they found the same capable of delivering to their expectations.

Results:

Cost Reduction:
The approach inducted, was found to be very successful helping them to gain more time for designing and cut down a lot of time which was earlier used for managing the project thereby giving a cost effective method of designing, configuration management by effectively maintain the various versions of the code and testing the application with maximum accuracy in a reduced time.

Quality:
The quality of their software was improved by making use of Rational tools and our support to them whenever they required, thus increasing the affectivity of the man hours involved for the complex work being done with ease.
